Vegas “Secret Pizza” Not-So-Secret

secret pizza las vegas cosmopolitan

We spent our New Years Even in Vegas, baby, Vegas… yup, complete with the over quoting of movies like Swingers and The Hangover… plus we made up some of our own little quips. But aside from all of that, one of our main goals was to find, and eat, at the secret pizza place that is hidden somewhere on the strip. Obviously with the invention of the internet the “secret” pizza place isn’t a very good secret. It didn’t take us long to track down the fact that it was in the Cosmopolitan and we eventually figured out it was on the 3rd floor. With that much to go on we decided we’d hit it up after the club on Saturday night.

After pounding 4 bottles of liquor and listening to Dj Skribble for what seemed like forever, it was time to leave the club and time to get some food. We stumbled from Paris to the Cosmopolitan in search of this “secret” pizza place that has eluded drunk tourists and locals for months… Ok, not really, it’s not hard to find when there is a line about 50 people deep snaking down a long hallway, but in their defense, there isn’t a sign for the place. And since it was 2 in the morning most of the people were drunk and obnoxious, except the kid in front of us, he was just high on some illicit substance… but we never found out what. Now that’s not to say that we ourselves weren’t drunk, but I, being the least drunk, was a bit annoyed with the line crowd. After waiting about 10 minutes, another member of our party decided that she need to go back to the hotel room, so my wife and friend stayed behind and in an attempt to stay non-disgruntled for the next few hours, I took our other friend home.

The other 2 arrived back at the hotel room about 20 minutes after we had gotten there with 5 pizza slices in hand ready to eat. We were going to order a whole pizza, but it would have taken another 45 minutes or so to wait for it… that wasn’t about to happen. The pizza itself was decent, but I guess there aren’t very many good pizza places in Vegas so it’s a treat to those looking for a half-way decent slice. Being from Chicago I think we’re spoiled when it comes to our pizza. Either way though it did the trick and we were able to pass out with full stomachs and smiles on our faces. It was a good night and a good weekend, but I’ll get into more of that in another post.

So if you’re looking for the secret pizza place in Vegas, it’s really not that hard to find. Go into the Cosmopolitan and up the escalator to the 3rd floor. If it’s anytime after 1 am, there will be about 100 people standing around eating in the lobby area, but if it’s before that, it’s along the right wall down a long hallway. It’s actually very hard to miss if you’re looking for it. The hallway is lined with pictures and album covers so you’ll know when you’re on the right track. Don’t get your hopes up too high though, but it’s a decent enough pizza for what it is.

You’re welcome.
