If you haven’t been able to tell, I am a huge fan of Big Bricks on Lincoln in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood. This place as amazing pizza, but even better BBQ, which is why it should come as no surprise that the Pulled Pork Cheese Fries are amazing. Since winter has shown it’s ugly face here in Chicago, we haven’t been going out as much as we normally do, so I apologize for the lack of updates recently. But we did get to try this delectable dish, along with the always delicious baby back ribs and pulled pork sandwich. I can’t say it enough, if you haven’t tried Big Bricks yet, you need to make your way over there and try the BBQ sampler plate, and while you’re at it you might want to get the mac n cheese. The mac n cheese is probably the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had… period. I normally don’t get much excitement from non-Kraft Mac N Cheese, because it’s obviously the cheesiest, but Big Bricks mac n cheese is absolutely amazing. I don’t care if it does unimaginable things to my semi-lactose intolerant stomach, it’s so worth it. I know this site is supposed to be about how much I hate food and only eat to survive, but the ribs and sides alone at Big Bricks may be the catalyst towards change. Give me reasonably priced bbq, pizza and drinks any day, over a famous chef who’s known for his food made of duck liver and truffles, along with 90 other ingredients I’ve never heard of, nor care about.
